The Quality Assurance Automation Engineer is a full-time, 100% remote role based in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. This position is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated test suites for web, mobile, and cloud-based applications. Day-to-day tasks include creating and executing test cases, analyzing test results, reporting and tracking defects, and collaborating closely with developers and product teams to ensure high-quality releases. The engineer will help define testing strategies, improve QA processes, and contribute to continuous integration and delivery pipelines. The role also involves occasional manual testing where automation is not yet in place, along with documentation of test plans and quality standards.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Quality Assurance and Software Testing, including understanding of QA methodologies and best practices.
- Experience designing and executing Test Cases and performing Manual Testing for complex applications.
- Hands-on expertise with QA Automation, including building and maintaining automated test frameworks and scripts.
- Experienced using Playwright
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools, version control systems, and test management platforms.
- Ability to analyze requirements, identify edge cases, and communicate clearly with cross-functional teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience testing AI, web, mobile, or cloud-based solutions is highly beneficial.
- Proficiency in at least one programming or scripting language commonly used for test automation (e.g., Java, JavaScript, Python).
